Do you want to look at the beauty of Vietnam from another angle which is different from what you may have experienced in this S-shaped country? The eastern coast of Vietnam will certainly take your breath away. Besides well-known Nha Trang, Vinh Hy Bay in Ninh Thuan province is another destination that is worth a visit. The Nature Mother has given this place a majestic scenery with emerald water and white sand.

An overview of Vinh Hy Bay

Vinh Hy bay is about 42 kilometers away from Phan Rang City - Thap Cham heading toward Northeast. Here, the weather has characteristics of tropical monsoon climate which is dry, hot, and windy. There are 2 seasons: dry season (Sep-  Nov) and wet season ( Dec- Sep). The most suitable time to visit Vinh Hy Bay is between May and Aug because the sea of Vinh Hy reaches the peak of its beauty with emerald and pure water, warm and smooth sea, along with white sand.

Where to stay?

It is advisable to rent a room at hotels or motels in Binh Tien - Vinh Hy coastal road. You can find some in agoda.com or booking.com. However, because of the hotels in small quantity and some in bad service, you should book a room in advance to get a good choice.

What to experience in Vinh Hy?

1/Do you love taking photos?

2/Do you love exploring?

At Vinh Hy Bay, besides enjoying the beach, you can also do some other activities such as diving, surfing and hopping on a glass bottom boat. The first boat starts at 9:00 am with the price of about VND50,000-100,000 per person. Three kilometers away from the bay are there glorious coral reefs, which is best for snorkling.

Rai Cave is one of the most beautiful destinations in Ninh Thuan province. It is considered as the only “waterfall on the sea” of Viet Nam. Observing mysterious harmony between moss and wave in Rai Cave, you will be surprised at the beauty of a nature masterpiece. Corals which are fully covered by the moss look like giant sapphire being lost beneath the clear water.

Núi Chúa (Chúa mountain) national park is other attraction that cannot be missed out. You can climb up to the top of Chúa mountain for an overview of the whole area. The highest point of the mountain is just about 1000 meters above sea level; however, it is not easy to conquer it because the mountain is located in a unique forest with the typical feature of dry ecosystem in Southeast Asia, neither more nor less than in Africa.

To get to the peak of the mountain, you have to overcome 6 smaller peaks including Chúa chắt, Chúa cháu, Chúa em, Chúa anh, Chúa chồng, and Chúa vợ. Note that: chắt means great-grandchild, cháu grandchild, em younger brother, anh older brother, chồng husband, and vợ wife. Therefore, you need to 'meet' Chúa's family members before confronting him ;)

4/ Do you want to experience local life?

There is a chance for you. You can experience working like a fisher by feeding lobsters or sitting on a woven bamboo basket boat.
